When tens of millions of people around the world tune in for the Super Bowl... they will finally get a chance to see the commercial celebrating the life of Tim Tebow. But viewers may not know Clyde Christensen, the assistant head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, has his own potential abortion story that changed his life.
Coach Christensen had this to say about being spared from abortion:
"I also can't help but look back and think of how easily my life and thus generations to follow could have been snuffed out before it ever got started."
"I can't help but think of a 15-year-old, unwed, pregnant teen who made a courageous decision not to abort her child, but instead gave him a chance at life that over 50 million children since have not had. That child was me,"
"but I am so grateful for her courage to have her child when it wasn't and still isn't to this day the choice of most."
"I am grateful for her unselfishness in wanting the best life for me and the decision that I might benefit from life in another family. I'm touched by her faith in entrusting her child to God with confidence,...She trusted God would find the right family and would watch over her child throughout his life."
"I am a husband, a father of three terrific daughters, and I'm an NFL football coach. I don't know of anyone whose life has been more blessed than mine... Coaching has given me the opportunity to influence many young lives throughout the years. And today, my own beautiful girls have and will continue to impact this world for good. What an impact one right decision can have."
From Catholic news Agency: Courtesy of the American Life League, this video contains statements from the 1986 Super Bowl champs denouncing abortion. It goes to show that Tim Tebow is neither the first nor the only football player to take a stand for life.
Former Director of Planned Parenthood Abby Johnson gives powerful yet compassionate testimony about her conversion from "Employee of The Year" at PP to Pro Life Advocate to the crowd at the 6th annual Walk For Life In San Francisco. ABBY'S PRESENCE AT THE WALK WAS NOT COVERED BY ANYONE IN THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA. This testimony is a good indication why. It is poison to the abortion movement.
O Mary, Mother of the Life Within, all life we entrust to you; The life of every expectant mother and the child within her womb; The life of every human body, the life of every human soul; The life of every newborn child and the life of all grown old. You held the Lord to your own heart and drew Him so close in. So draw us now in all our needs, O Mother of the Life Within. Amen.
Prayer to End Abortion
Lord God, I thank You today for the gift of my life, and for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know that there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that You have conquered death by the Ressurection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation of liberty and justice not just for some, but for all. Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
"Never tire of firmly speaking out in defense of life from its conception, and do not be deterred from the commitment to defend the dignity of every human person with courageous determination. Christ is with you: be not afraid!" ~ Pope John Paul II ~
The First Priority
"The first priority will consist in restoring a sense of the acceptance of life as a gift from God...the arrival of a child is always a gift, a blessing from God. Today it is high time to place greater emphasis on this: every human being, every tiny human person, however weak, is created 'in the image and likeness of God' (Gen. 1:27)." ~ Pope Benedict XVI ~
I am a Roman Catholic wife, mother, and grandmother who -YES- has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! What could be more personal than
receiving His Precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in Holy Communion every day, or spending precious time with Him in daily Eucharistic adoration? Outside of heaven, I can't be closer to Jesus than when He gives Himself to me in Holy Communion or when I bask in His Eucharistic Presence.
O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. ~ Pope John Paul II, Evangelium Vitae ~
